Cherries fight back three times to snatch a point in eight-goal Premier League spectacle.

Bournemouth substitute Junior Kroupi became the hero of a wild afternoon at Old Trafford on Saturday, scoring a dramatic late equalizer to secure an astonishing 4-4 draw with Manchester United in a match that delivered relentless drama.

The Cherries, trailing three separate times, never gave up, and were finally rewarded when Kroupi struck with just six minutes remaining to cap a back-and-forth Premier League classic.

“It shows the spirit in this group,” a breathless Bournemouth manager said after the match. “To come here, to keep fighting back… it’s a massive point.”

United had started brightly, taking a deserved lead when Amad Diallo nodded home in the 13th minute in his final appearance before departing for the Africa Cup of Nations. The hosts were pegged back before halftime by Antoine Semenyo’s crisp finish, only for Casemiro to scramble in a header to restore the lead.

Bournemouth then stunned Old Trafford with two quick goals after the break, through Evanilson and a beautiful Marcus Tavernier free-kick, to lead 3-2. United, however, mounted a stunning comeback of their own, with Bruno Fernandes’ spectacular free-kick and Matheus Cunha’s cool finish putting them back in front 4-3.

Just as the three points seemed secure, Kroupi sent the traveling fans into raptures, netting the final twist in a remarkable game. Bournemouth substitute David Brooks even had two golden chances to win it in stoppage time but was denied by goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

The single point lifts Manchester United to sixth, while Bournemouth, though now winless in seven, climb to 13th with a performance that demonstrated remarkable resilience against one of the league’s giants.
