Karim Benzema Commits to Al Ittihad: Signs Deal until 2026

It’s official. Karim Benzema will wear the shirt of Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad until 2026.

The former Real Madrid striker, who said goodbye to the club on Tuesday, is now a new player for the Aurinegros.

His first words for Nuno Espirito Santo‘s recently crowned Saudi League champions were brief: “I’m looking forward to seeing you in Jeddah.”

Karim Benzema will earn around 200 million euros for two seasons plus an optional season, a bonus of around 20 million euros for being an ambassador for the 2030 World Cup bid, plus more fine details that will be unveiled as time goes on.

The French No.9 has signed as a free agent, following the non-renewal of his contract with Real Madrid from June 30. Saudi state television Al Ijbariya announced the arrival of Al Ittihad club president Anmar al Haeli and vice-president Ahmad al Kaaki to officially sign Benzema in a record deal.

Karim Benzema is a new Al Ittihad player after 14 seasons at Real Madrid.
