The move comes after the 20-year-old’s breakout debut season was cut short by injury. Betis manager Manu Fajardo reportedly hopes to negotiate a purchase option, although Liverpool has not included such terms in the current agreement.
The transfer aligns with Liverpool’s interest in Betis midfielder Johnny Cardoso, suggesting a potential link between the two deals.
Uncertain Future for Darwin Nunez
While Bajcetic departs temporarily, striker Darwin Nunez could also be on his way out. Signed for €85 million from Benfica, the Uruguayan has struggled to live up to expectations, scoring just four goals across all competitions this season.
Sources indicate that Liverpool would consider selling Nunez for a fee between €60-72 million, despite his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) dropping to €45 million. With a contract running until 2028, however, a January exit seems unlikely.
