Luis Enrique Shrugs Off Randal Kolo Muani Transfer Talk Amid PSG’s January Plans

The PSG Coach Compares Transfer Speculation to a “Market for Fruit, Fish, and Bread”

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique delivered an unconventional response when questioned about striker Randal Kolo Muani’s future amid reports linking the French international to Manchester United, Tottenham, and Juventus.

Kolo Muani, 26, has been notably absent from PSG’s recent matches, including Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Saint-Étienne, where Ousmane Dembélé scored twice to secure the win. The striker hasn’t featured for the team since a December 6 appearance against Auxerre and was left out of the squad entirely for the Saint-Étienne clash.

When pressed about Kolo Muani’s rumored move, Enrique dismissed the topic with a quip:
“I don’t know. For me, the transfer window is more like the market for fruit, fish, and bread. I’ve got nothing to say.”

Reports suggest PSG has offered Kolo Muani to clubs including Manchester United, Tottenham, and Juventus. However, Juventus is believed to be leading the race for his signature, with the Turin club seeking additional attacking reinforcements.

Meanwhile, PSG appears to be making moves of their own, targeting Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli in what could be a high-profile January transfer. The arrival of the Georgian winger might impact Bradley Barcola, who has struggled to score since October but remains integral to the squad.

Enrique expressed unwavering support for Barcola, emphasizing his contributions beyond scoring:
“It’s mostly confidence. He’s a sensational player. He doesn’t score, but he makes assists, defends, and brings a lot to the team. It’s not his best moment, but he’ll come back because he’s a great player.”

French outlet L’Équipe reports that PSG could finalize the Kvaratskhelia deal as early as midweek, raising questions about how Enrique plans to integrate both Barcola and the Napoli star into his lineup.
