Man Utd Eye Osimhen Coup as Sancho Could Become Napoli Bargaining Chip

Red Devils Plot Striker Revolution with Clever Swap Deal Strategy

Manchester United are exploring a bold transfer move that could see Jadon Sancho used as leverage in a deal to bring Victor Osimhen to Old Trafford—a signing that would turbocharge their attacking options after a dismal season.

The Red Devils, who finished a shocking 15th in the Premier League and suffered Europa League heartbreak against Tottenham, have so far only secured Wolves’ Matheus Cunha in a £62.5m deal. But with manager Ruben Amorim desperate for reinforcements, a proven striker is top of the agenda after Rasmus Højlund’s struggles in front of goal.

United had hoped to reunite Amorim with Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres, but the Swedish hitman reportedly favors a move to Arsenal instead. Now, attention has turned to Osimhen—the Napoli outcast who reignited his career with a stunning 37-goal season at Galatasaray, firing them to the Turkish Super Lig title.

Sancho’s Role in the Deal
With Galatasaray unable to meet Osimhen’s financial demands, United sense an opportunity. But the key to unlocking the deal could be Sancho, whose future remains uncertain after his Chelsea loan spell ended without a permanent move.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli are keen on the £300,000-a-week winger as they hunt for attacking reinforcements. Offloading Sancho would not only free up significant wages but could also smooth the path for United to meet Osimhen’s £63m release clause and hefty salary demands.

However, competition looms—Saudi giants Al Hilal are ready to offer Osimhen a staggering £42m per year, while Sancho himself is open to a Borussia Dortmund return but unwilling to take a pay cut, complicating any potential exit.

With Napoli also monitoring Alejandro Garnacho and Jack Grealish, United face a delicate balancing act. But if they can navigate the negotiations, Osimhen’s arrival could be the transformative signing they desperately need.
