Manchester City Eye Fourth Major Signing as Juventus Open to Cambiaso Sale

Guardiola’s Spending Spree Continues Amid €60-70m Transfer Talks

Manchester City’s January transfer window spending spree is showing no signs of slowing down, with Pep Guardiola given the green light to pursue a fourth major signing. The Premier League champions have already spent over €150 million this month, but they could add Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso to their ranks for a fee in the region of €60-70 million.

City’s biggest signing so far has been Omar Marmoush, who arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt in an €80 million deal. They also secured Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens and Vitor Reis from Palmeiras, reinforcing both their present squad and future prospects. Additionally, young talent Juma Bah was acquired from Real Valladolid for €6 million but was immediately loaned out to Lens as a replacement for Khusanov.

Juventus Shift Stance on Cambiaso

Initially hesitant to sell, Juventus have now softened their stance on Cambiaso, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The 24-year-old Italian left-back, once considered “almost unsellable,” is now seen as a potential asset to unlock the club’s transfer market. His recent performances have reportedly influenced Juventus’ decision, along with their need to generate funds for new signings.

Despite the club’s willingness to sell, Cambiaso himself has not requested a transfer, either directly or through intermediaries. Juventus’ ability to find a suitable replacement—especially with Feyenoord refusing to release target David Hancko until the summer—remains a key hurdle in any potential deal.

City’s Final Push in the Market

With just days left in the transfer window, City could look to make one final statement by securing Cambiaso’s signature. If a deal materializes, it would further strengthen Guardiola’s squad as they continue their push for domestic and European success.
