Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Vincent Aboubakar, who has had his contract ripped up by Al Nassr.

The striker shone for Cameroon at the World Cup as he captained his country and scored two goals in three matches.

Now he could be heading to Old Trafford after Cristiano Ronaldo completed his eye-watering move to the Saudi Arabian side.

The 37-year-old was unveiled earlier this week, but is so far unavailable to make his debut for the club due to an unserved two-match ban from his Manchester United spell and a full roster of foreign players at Al-Nassr.

RMC Sport claim the Saudi side have ripped up Aboubaker’s contract, paving the way for the 37-year-old to make his debut.

Discussing the Liverpool star before the 2022 World Cup, he told 90football.fr: “I understand people’s attitudes, he’s one of the best goalscorers in the Premier League.

“It makes sense that when you go on about a player like that, people will talk. But I did say that it was my opinion, my point of view.

“I don’t give a toss if people don’t like it – I’m not impressed by him.

“I can do what he does. I just don’t have the opportunity to play in a big club.”
