Ligue 1 side reportedly ready to cover bulk of United star’s wages
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford could be on the verge of a surprise loan move to AS Monaco, according to reports from The Sun. While interest from AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund has cooled, the French club is reportedly preparing an offer to take the England international to Ligue 1.
Monaco is said to have the financial resources to present an attractive loan deal for Rashford, including covering the majority of his substantial weekly wages.
Earlier interest from AC Milan has reportedly faded, while Borussia Dortmund remains keen but is reluctant to cover more than half of Rashford’s salary, which complicates a potential move to the Bundesliga.
Monaco, however, appears ready to step in with an approach that would see them take on most, if not all, of the 26-year-old’s wages as they seek to bolster their squad for the remainder of the season.
This potential move comes amid a challenging campaign for Rashford at Manchester United, where he has struggled to replicate his best form. A loan to Monaco could offer him a fresh start and the opportunity to reignite his career in a competitive environment.
As transfer speculation continues, it remains to be seen whether the Ligue 1 side will formalize their interest and secure the England forward before the window closes.
