Star Forward in Talks with Leading Sports Agency to Secure Transfer
Marcus Rashford has intensified efforts to leave Manchester United during the January transfer window, reportedly holding discussions with top sports agency Stellar. The move follows weeks of speculation about his future, fueled by his recent omission from several matchday squads under manager Ruben Amorim.
Rashford, who has spent his entire professional career at United, signaled his intent for a “new challenge” during an interview with journalist Henry Winter. “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps,” Rashford stated. “When I leave, it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings.’ You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United.”
The 26-year-old forward was left out of United’s squad for four consecutive games against Manchester City, Tottenham, Bournemouth, and Wolves. His last appearance for the club came on December 12 in a Europa League match against Viktoria Plzen.
According to The Sun, Rashford has been in talks with Stellar, the agency behind Gareth Bale’s record-breaking £86 million move from Tottenham to Real Madrid in 2013. While currently represented by his brother, Dwaine Maynard, Rashford is reportedly open to joining Stellar to facilitate his desired move.
Manager Ruben Amorim addressed the situation, expressing understanding but hinting at potential influence from Rashford’s entourage. “It is a hard situation,” Amorim said. “These players have a lot of people around them, and they sometimes make choices that are not the first idea from the player. I am always here to help Marcus, as any other player.”
Rashford’s contract with Manchester United runs until the summer of 2028. Over his tenure, he has made 426 appearances, scoring 138 goals. Despite his storied history with the club, Rashford seems determined to find a fresh start, with reports suggesting that negotiations for his future are already underway.
Whether the January window will see Rashford depart Old Trafford remains uncertain, but his candid remarks and proactive steps indicate that change is on the horizon.
