Mr. Macaroni, the popular Nigerian comedian and actor, whose real name is Debo Adedayo, has taken legal action against Lege Miami, an influencer, over alleged defamation.
The lawsuit was filed by Falana and Falana’s Chambers, Mr. Macaroni’s legal representatives, on the grounds of inciting statements made by Lege.
The content creator has been given three days to retract his publication and issue a public apology to Mr. Macaroni.
He is also expected to pay N50 million as damages for the claims made against the comedian.
Lege shared the lawsuit on his Instagram page, referring to Mr. Macaroni as his long-time friend. He appealed to Falana, expressing his admiration for the popular lawyer and indicating that he would visit him.
The actor also shared a throwback video of him and the skit-maker laughing, indicating that they had been friends at some point in time.
It remains to be seen how the case will unfold, but it is evident that Mr. Macaroni is taking steps to protect his reputation and seek redress for the alleged defamation.
