BBNaija Promises Thrilling Season with Major Cash Prize and New SUV
MultiChoice Nigeria has made a sensational announcement ahead of the 2024 edition of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), revealing a grand prize of N100 million for the reality TV show’s winner. This news was shared by Busola Tejumola, the executive head of content and West Africa channels at MultiChoice, in a video that has quickly gone viral on social media.
Tejumola disclosed that the highly anticipated show will premiere on Sunday, July 28, and will be broadcast across all Africa Magic channels starting at 7 pm WAT.
Adding to the excitement, the winner will also drive away in a brand-new SUV, all after enduring 71 days of intense competition and drama. However, this year’s prize is notably N20 million less than the previous year’s grand prize.
“After 71 days of game playing, on the 6th of October, 2024, a grand total of N100 million worth of cash and a brand new SUV will be won,” Tejumola announced.

The previous season, which concluded in October 2023, saw Ilebaye Odiniya taking home N120 million during the all-stars (8th) season, setting a high benchmark for future contestants.
As the ninth season of Big Brother Naija approaches, anticipation is reaching new heights. Auditions, which began on March 27 and concluded on May 4, have set the stage for what promises to be an explosive season filled with drama, romance, and fierce competition.
The organizers of BBNaija have pledged a season packed with “double drama, relationships, and huge competition,” ensuring that viewers will be in for a thrilling ride.
