Nigerian music icon 2Face Idibia has reportedly been arrested in London following a heated public altercation with his new wife, Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker from Edo State. The incident has sent shockwaves through social media and left fans concerned after the singer failed to appear at a scheduled tour performance.
The news was first brought to light by Nigerian social critic Tosin Silverdam, who detailed the event in a video posted to his Instagram page on Friday morning. According to an account from the couple’s driver, the argument began shortly after they landed, starting at the airport and continuing en route to their hotel.
Witnesses report the situation intensified dramatically at the hotel, where Natasha allegedly broke bottles during the escalating fight. This prompted a police response, which ultimately led to 2Face’s arrest.
