National Assembly Members Sponsoring Benue Attacks – Governor Alia Makes Explosive Allegation (Video)

Judicial Panel Interim Report Indicts Top Politicians as Fresh Violence Claims More Lives

In a shocking revelation, Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has accused serving National Assembly members of masterminding and funding the deadly attacks plaguing the state.

The governor dropped this bombshell during a Friday interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he disclosed that an interim report from a judicial panel of inquiry had uncovered evidence of high-level political involvement in the violence.

“It is very unsettling because top politicians who are very functional in the National Assembly are the architects and arrowheads of these attacks,” Alia revealed. “They’re not just instigating violence but harboring these killers in the bushes, feeding them, and supplying their operational needs.”

Judicial Panel Uncovers Political Backing for Killers

Though the governor withheld names pending the final report expected next week, he described the findings as “extremely unacceptable” and vowed to take decisive action.

“If these politicians don’t value human lives and are only fighting for their own positions, I must stand for the common people,” Alia declared. “We set up this judicial panel to investigate why attacks persist both from within and outside, and the interim findings are disturbing.”

Fresh Bloodshed Amid Political Firestorm

The governor’s explosive claims came hours after suspected armed herdsmen launched another deadly attack along Makurdi-Naka road, leaving multiple persons feared dead and others injured.

The road has reportedly been under the control of armed Fulani militia groups for weeks, despite repeated military assurances of intervention. Local residents now live in constant fear as the attacks continue unabated.

A Governor’s Resolve Against Powerful Forces

Alia’s allegations suggest a complex web of political sponsorship behind what many assumed were simple farmer-herder clashes. His promise to act on the panel’s final report sets the stage for a potential political earthquake in Benue and beyond.

“It is my constitutional duty to protect my people,” the governor affirmed, signaling his readiness to confront even the most powerful sponsors of violence.

As Benue mourns its latest victims, all eyes turn to Abuja – where the accused politicians sit – and to the governor’s office, where the full report’s revelations may soon ignite a firestorm in Nigeria’s troubled middle belt.
