Neymar’s Future at Al-Hilal in Doubt as Injury Struggles Continue

Brazilian star could face contract termination, potential return to Santos on the horizon

Neymar’s time with Al-Hilal may be coming to an abrupt end as the Brazilian star battles yet another injury setback. Following a recent recurrence of knee issues, the 32-year-old could see his contract with the Saudi Pro League club terminated, according to The Daily Mail.

Neymar made his return to Al-Hilal last month after nearly a year on the sidelines, recovering from an ACL tear in his left knee sustained while playing for Brazil in October 2022. However, in Al-Hilal’s Asian Champions League win over Esteghlal on Monday, Neymar was forced to exit the game just 29 minutes after coming on as a substitute, raising further concerns about his fitness.

The club is reportedly considering cutting ties with the superstar as early as January. Should Al-Hilal decide to move forward with a contract termination, Neymar could explore a return to his roots in Brazil, with speculation linking him to a possible reunion with Santos, the club where he first rose to prominence.

This latest injury blow adds another layer of uncertainty to Neymar’s career, as he now faces the potential of rebuilding back home if Al-Hilal opts to part ways.
