In an ambitious career move, Nigerian comedian Deeone has announced his intention to break the Guinness World Record for the longest stand-up comedy show. The event is scheduled to take place at Pallazo Lagos in Opebi, Ikeja, from October 2nd to 4th, 2025, where he will perform continuously for 40 hours.

The announcement sparked immediate excitement and support from fans and fellow entertainers. Comedian Josh2funny declared him “my favorite comedian,” while singer Teddy A enthusiastically cheered, “Let’s go!” Actress Tonto Dikeh also offered her encouragement, saying, “Deeone, you can do this! I dey your back.”

The current record, set by American comedian Benny Elbows on April 25, 2025, stands at 40 hours, 16 minutes, and 48 seconds. Deeone’s attempt will not only require exceptional stamina but also a relentless flow of jokes to keep the audience engaged through the two-day marathon.
