Nigerian TikTok Star Peller Reportedly Draws FBI Attention Over Past Involvement in Internet Fraud

Journalist Kemi Olunloyo alleges FBI scrutiny of influencer Peller after his past cybercrime confessions resurface

Nigerian TikTok star Peller is reportedly under scrutiny by the FBI after revelations of his former involvement in internet fraud, commonly known in Nigeria as “Yahoo-Yahoo.” According to controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo, who shared the claim via social media, an FBI source tipped her off regarding Peller’s alleged cybercrime activities.

Olunloyo explained that Peller, now 19, had openly discussed his past involvement in internet fraud during a TikTok session, saying he later shifted to legitimate income as a content creator. Citing the legal risk Peller might face for past statements, Olunloyo warned him to be cautious about further comments, referencing the case of influencer Hushpuppi, who was sentenced in the U.S. for cybercrime.

“If you know Peller, please tell him to SFTU. He is about to single-handedly ruin his own future,” Olunloyo cautioned. Her statement sparked mixed reactions online, with some dismissing it as unfounded, while others pointed out the potential fallout if true.
