Chidimma Adetshina, Nigeria’s contender for the 2024 Miss Universe title, has officially arrived in Mexico, where she’ll compete against participants from around the globe for the esteemed crown. The Miss Universe Nigeria representative received a warm welcome upon landing, setting the stage for her journey at one of the world’s most prominent beauty pageants.
In a heartfelt Instagram video shared on Tuesday, Adetshina was seen stepping into Mexico City in a striking outfit designed by Nigerian designer Maryam Elisha. Her ensemble, inspired by the colors of the Nigerian flag, was a powerful nod to her heritage and a symbol of pride for her homeland.
“Hola, México! Tu reina está aquí!” the post celebrated. “From Nigeria, we send our brightest wishes and unwavering support with you, Chidinma! May the vibrant spirit of our nation shine through you as you step onto this international stage. Represent us with pride, strength, and grace—knowing that all of Nigeria stands beside you. Adetshina will compete in the 73rd Miss Universe competition, set to take place at Arena CDMX in Mexico City on November 16, 2024. The event will culminate with reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua passing the crown to her successor, as contestants from around the world showcase their talents, culture, and grace on the global stage.
