The actress accuses Emeka Rollas of bitterness, claiming he resents her for stopping his “swimming lessons” with women at her home and calls his leadership a “disgrace.”
In a dramatic and deeply personal counter-attack, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly clashed with Emeka Rollas, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), after he suggested she was in need of help due to her health and behavior.
The conflict erupted after Rollas made a lengthy statement detailing his concerns for Daniels, recounting incidents on movie sets and at family events where he felt her conduct was alarming. He also criticized her mother, Rita Daniels, for pursuing the AGN presidency while her daughter’s home life was under strain.
Daniels’ response on Instagram was swift and scathing. She dismissed Rollas’s concerns and launched a series of damaging allegations against his character and leadership. She claimed his “bitterness” stemmed from her stopping him from bringing women to her home for what he called “swimming lessons.”
“AGN President, respectfully, there must be something wrong with you sir!” she wrote. “You are a disgrace of a president who just visits one office to the other enriching his pocket in guise of catering to the wellbeing of actors.”
The actress, married to Senator Ned Nwoko, accused Rollas of having no notable achievements in his eight-year tenure beyond “luring” high-profile men with women to enrich himself. She defended her mother, expressing “awe” that Rollas would try to discredit Rita Daniels after all her family had done for him, including introducing him to her then-husband.
“I already know so I can say for a fact that you were paid chicken change to speak nonsense about a child that benefited under your administration,” Daniels added, firmly throwing her support behind her mother’s bid for the AGN presidency.
The public spat has pulled back the curtain on a bitter power struggle and personal grievances within the heart of Nigeria’s film industry, with one of its biggest stars and its top official now locked in a deeply acrimonious war of words.
