Newcastle & Rafa Benitez
Rafa Benitez is set to achieve another miracle this season at newcastle.
Despite a lack of funds, Newcastle are on course to beat the drop with several matches to spare.
The Magpies are 13th in the table with 35 points.
Benitez has previously stated his belief that 38 points will be enough to stay up.
But will Benitez still be at St James’ Park at the start of next season?
Mike Ashley has yet to close terms with Benitez, who is out of contract at the end of the year.
The manager needs investment, but will the owner stump up the cash?
Rafa Benitez & Celtic
Labrokes have slashed odds in the last 24 hours on Rafa Benitez taking over at Celtic this summer.
The bookies are reporting that all bets placed in the last 24 hours on Celtic’s manager on the opening day of next season have been in favour of the Newcastle boss.
Brendan Rodgers recently left Celtic to take over at Leicester City.
Neil Lennon has return to Parkhead as the club’s interim manager until the end of the season.
Benitez has seen his odds to join Celtic slashed from 20/1 yesterday morning, into 10/1 by late afternoon – currently sitting at 5/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We’re scratching our heads as to where this sudden interest has come from, but punters seem to think Rafa might make the shock move north of the border this summer.”
