Actress Reveals Excitement for Burna Boy’s Production Debut

Nigerian actress Osas Ighodaro has unveiled her role as a co-producer in 3 Cold Dishes, an upcoming adventure thriller that also marks the production debut of Grammy-winning artist Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy. Ighodaro shared her enthusiasm during a recent appearance on the In My Opinion podcast, offering a glimpse into the groundbreaking project.

A Multilingual Adventure Film

3 Cold Dishes promises to be a cinematic adventure told in three languages: English, Yoruba, and French. The story traverses multiple countries, including Nigeria, Benin, and Côte d’Ivoire, offering a rich blend of cultural narratives. Speaking about her role, Ighodaro said, “It’s an adventure film where we speak English, Yoruba, and French… I love it. It is directed by Asurf.”

The movie follows the story of three teenagers, all victims of human trafficking, who reunite 13 years later to exact revenge. Written by Tomi Adesina, the film boasts an impressive cast, including Wale Ojo, Femi Jacobs, Ruby Akubueze, and international talents from Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal.

Burna Boy’s Production Venture

Burna Boy steps into film production through Spaceship Films, a company he co-founded with his mother, Bose Ogulu. While the project is spearheaded by Big Black Mac, it is a collaborative effort involving multiple production houses such as Ifind, Alma Prods, Asurf Films, and Martian Network.

Ighodaro expressed pride in her dual role as a producer and an actress in the film, highlighting the unique partnership with Burna Boy and director Asurf Oluseyi. “This is my first major production… and I’m so proud to be part of it,” she added.
