Osimhen Rejects Al Hilal Again as Manchester United Links Resurface

Nigerian Striker Stands Firm on European Future After Saudi Snub

Victor Osimhen has reportedly turned down a lucrative move to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal for the second consecutive summer, fueling speculation that the Napoli striker could be holding out for a switch to Manchester United.

The 26-year-old Nigerian international, who enjoyed a prolific loan spell at Galatasaray last season with 37 goals, was the subject of a £63 million agreement between Al Hilal and Napoli. The Saudi giants had even arranged travel and medical examinations in anticipation of his arrival, only for Osimhen to reject the move outright, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

This decision throws Osimhen’s future back into the spotlight, with Galatasaray eager to make his temporary stay permanent and Manchester United still in need of attacking reinforcements. While the Red Devils have yet to submit an official bid, Osimhen’s repeated refusal of Middle Eastern offers suggests a strong preference to remain in Europe.

However, United’s interest may have cooled under new manager Ruben Amorim. ESPN reports that the club no longer views Osimhen as an ideal fit for their system, while his substantial wage demands have also been a sticking point for potential suitors.

With the transfer window heating up, Osimhen’s next move remains uncertain. Will he push for a Premier League opportunity, return to Turkey, or could Al Hilal return with an improved offer? For now, the striker appears determined to control his own destiny.
