Osimhen’s Agent Rules Out Move to Saudi Arabia, Stresses Unfinished Business in Europe

Napoli Star Victor Osimhen’s Future Remains in Europe, Despite Interest from Al Ahli and Chelsea

Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has made it clear that the Napoli striker has no intention of leaving Europe anytime soon, despite growing interest from Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli and Premier League giants Chelsea.

Osimhen, who has been a key player for Napoli, has attracted significant attention following his impressive performances in Europe. Chelsea, who have been eyeing the Nigerian international for some time, are reportedly keen on securing his services. However, they may need to offload players, such as Romelu Lukaku, to make room for Osimhen.

Recently, Al Ahli emerged as a potential suitor, with the Saudi Pro League side reportedly close to agreeing on a €65 million fee with Napoli for the star striker. However, Calenda has made it clear that Osimhen is not interested in a move to the Middle East.

In a statement, Calenda emphasized that Osimhen still has much to achieve in Europe. “Victor is not a package to be shipped far away to make room for new prophets. Victor still has so much to do in Europe,” Calenda said.

The agent also addressed recent controversies surrounding comments made by the agent of Napoli teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who had suggested that Osimhen would move to Saudi Arabia. Osimhen responded with strong words on social media, and Calenda condemned the remarks as “bad, superficial, and unacceptable.”

“Victor was elected African Footballer of the Year, and finished 8th in the Ballon d’Or. There is a need for respect and balance,” Calenda added, reinforcing that Osimhen is committed to his future with Napoli.

Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano also reported that Osimhen is not considering a move to Al Ahli unless certain conditions, such as an important salary and a release clause, are met. Without these, the deal is unlikely to materialize, potentially paving the way for a move to Chelsea.

As it stands, Osimhen’s future remains firmly in Europe, with his agent making it clear that any move will be carefully considered, with respect for his achievements and ongoing ambitions.
