Watford 0 – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 1

Arsenal won a crucial Premier League match at Watford on Monday night.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the only goal of the game as the Gunners finally kept a clean sheet on the road.

The win lifted Arsenal back into the top four. Tottenham have 67 points, while Arsenal have 66.

Aubameyang indicates he’s unhappy with Unai Emery’s tactics

Aubameyang is now up to 18 goals in the Premier League season.

Only Man City’s Sergio Aguero and Liverpool’s Mo Salah are above him on 19 goals.

Unlike Aguero and Salah, however, Aubameyang has spent quite a lot of time on Arsenal’s bench this season.

Indeed, the Watford match was just the second time in eight league matches in which Aubameyang has started.

After the game, the Gabonese striker spoke to Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports.

Aubameyang was asked about whether he prefers playing along up-top or in tandem with Alexandre Lacazette.

In his reply, Aubameyang indicated that he’s not been the happiest with Unai Emery’s tactics this season:

Everybody knows that I like to play with Laca[zette] because we have a great partnership. Sometimes one plays, the other is on the bench. It’s like that. You have to fight for the team.

I think you know that I like to play with two strikers but I don’t want to say it because the coach will be maybe a bit angry.
