In a significant twist to the summer transfer window, Paris Saint-Germain have dramatically reduced their asking price for goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to just £26 million, making a potential move to Manchester City more plausible than ever.

The sticking point remains the transfer fee. Turkish club Galatasaray are interested in acquiring Ederson but saw an initial offer of £8.5 million swiftly rejected. Manchester City are holding out for a fee of at least double that amount for the 32-year-old, who has been a cornerstone of Pep Guardiola’s squad since his £35 million arrival from Benfica in 2017.
