Real Madrid Will Let Vinicius Jr Leave for Free in 2027 Unless He Accepts Current Contract Offer

Spanish giants refuse to meet Brazilian star’s demand for Mbappé-level salary, setting up high-stakes contract standoff with Premier League clubs monitoring the situation.

In a dramatic contract standoff, Real Madrid is prepared to let forward Vinicius Junior leave as a free agent when his contract expires in 2027 unless he accepts their current offer, which falls short of Kylian Mbappé’s salary level.

The Brazilian international rejected Madrid’s renewal offer earlier this year, seeking pay parity with the club’s highest earner, Kylian Mbappé. According to journalist Josep Pedrerol on El Chiringuito, the Spanish giants have adopted a firm stance: accept the existing terms or plan your departure.

“The conditions are stipulated, therefore there is nothing to discuss,” Pedrerol reported. “If he accepts the first ones, he has renewed; if he wants to earn more than Mbappé, he has to leave in a year and a half.”

The club’s leadership, including president Florentino Perez, appears willing to risk losing their star player for nothing rather than meet his demands. “Madrid have even considered: if in a year and a half he wants to leave for free, Madrid are going to accept it,” Pedrerol revealed. “Madrid do not want anyone who does not want to be here.”

This stalemate has alerted Premier League clubs, with Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly monitoring the situation. The impasse comes despite Vinicius’s impressive form, including a spectacular goal in Madrid’s recent 4-1 victory over Getafe.

With the player’s contract set to expire in June 2027, the coming months will prove decisive in determining whether Vinicius remains at the Bernabeu or becomes one of football’s most high-profile free agents.
