Egyptian King Commits Future to Anfield Until 2027, Fueling Title Charge and Delighting Fans
Mohamed Salah has put an end to months of uncertainty by signing a new long-term contract with Liverpool, securing his future at Anfield until 2027. The announcement comes as a huge relief for the Reds, who are closing in on a historic 20th league title.
Salah, whose previous deal was set to expire this summer, has been instrumental in Liverpool’s dominant campaign, netting 27 goals and providing 17 assists in the Premier League alone. His decision to stay signals both his belief in the project and his desire to add more silverware to an already legendary Liverpool career.
“I’m Very Excited—We Can Achieve More Together”
Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, the 32-year-old couldn’t hide his enthusiasm. “Of course I’m very excited,” Salah said. “We have a great team now, just like before. But I signed because I believe we can win more trophies—and because I love playing here.”
Reflecting on his time at the club, he added: “I’ve had my best years here. Eight seasons, hopefully it’ll be ten. I’m enjoying my life, my football—this is where I’ve played my best football.”
A fan favorite since his arrival from Roma in 2017, Salah has now racked up an astonishing 243 goals and 109 assists in 393 appearances, cementing his status as one of Liverpool’s greatest-ever players. His trophy haul includes the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, and Club World Cup—but he’s hungry for more.
Message to the Fans: “Keep Supporting Us—We’ll Give Everything”
Addressing the supporters, Salah said: “I want to tell the fans: I’m very, very happy to be here. I signed because I believe in this team. Keep backing us, and we’ll give everything to bring more success.”
What’s Next for Liverpool’s Other Stars?
While Salah’s future is now secure, questions remain over two other key players—Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold—whose contracts also expire this summer.
Captain Van Dijk recently hinted at “progress” in negotiations, but Alexander-Arnold’s situation is less certain, with Real Madrid reportedly keen on the homegrown star.
For now, though, Liverpool fans can celebrate—their Egyptian King isn’t going anywhere. And with the title within reach and Salah firing on all cylinders, the future looks bright at Anfield.
