Senator Ned Nwoko Questions Regina Daniels’ Drug Test, Calls for Reality, Not Drama

Husband Argues Temporary Abstinence Doesn’t Erase Past, Insists Earlier Assessments Were Conclusive

Senator Ned Nwoko has issued a pointed public response to his wife, actress Regina Daniels, following her recent release of a negative drug test, warning the public not to be misled by “temporary abstinence” and insisting that documented prior evidence of substance use remains valid.

In a lengthy statement released by his communication team on Friday, the senator stated that a single negative result “does not invalidate earlier medical reports” and emphasized that “recovery and accountability are not matters for social media posts.” He called for a “quiet, consistent” approach to healing based on professional support.

The statement referenced previous independent assessments conducted in Nigeria and South Africa that reportedly indicated substance use, findings Nwoko said were “formally documented” and would be defended in court if necessary. It also addressed attempts to downplay the seriousness of MDMA (referred to as Molly), stating that “renaming it does not alter its chemical composition, its risks, or its impact.”

Nwoko revealed that before the matter became public, he had pursued private avenues to support Daniels, including rehabilitation, which he said “failed” due to denial. He noted that a court ruling had granted him custody and ordered Daniels to undergo supervised therapy.

“If accountability is to be invoked, then it must acknowledge the reality of a problem,” the statement concluded. “True growth, stability, and accountability come from embracing the process quietly, consistently, and with integrity.”

The response marks a significant escalation in the public dispute between the couple, shifting the focus from Daniels’ personal declaration of sobriety to a demand for legally verifiable, long-term evidence and private rehabilitation.
