In a detailed social media post, the politician claims Regina Daniels’ siblings introduced her to illegal substances and actively undermined her recovery, leading to a toxic and volatile home environment.
In an extraordinary and deeply personal statement posted on X, Senator Ned Nwoko has broken his silence on the turmoil within his marriage to actress Regina Daniels, alleging that her family actively enabled her drug addiction and orchestrated a “Nollywood scenario” to publicly defame him.
The senator’s post, shared on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, portrays a household under siege, alleging that Regina’s brother, Sammy, repeatedly engaged in “aggressive and disruptive” harassment, especially when Nwoko was absent.
Nwoko detailed a history of financial support for Regina’s family, claiming he sponsored Sammy through university, bought him musical instruments, and provided a furnished apartment. He also stated he has a record of transferring ₦125 million to Regina’s mother, Rita Daniel, over the last two years.
The core of his account centers on Regina’s struggle with addiction. Nwoko revealed he arranged for her rehabilitation after noticing severe behavioral changes, which he linked to her dependence on “certain illegal substances.” He claims the therapy was consistently sabotaged by her siblings and their friends, who would force their way into his home to bring her drugs.
“Instead of helping her recover, they encouraged her addiction and completely frustrated the efforts of the doctors,” Nwoko wrote. He alleged that Sammy and another brother, Lawrence, were the ones who first introduced and supplied the drugs to Regina.
The situation allegedly came to a head four weeks ago when Nwoko discovered Sammy’s girlfriend, whom he identified as a known “enabler,” in his house in the early hours of the morning. After asking her to leave, he says Sammy arrived at his compound shouting, threatening, and demanding to confront him, forcing Nwoko to have security physically remove him.
Nwoko also described the pain of watching his wife’s struggle, recounting instances where she would leave home in the evening and not return until the following afternoon. When questioned, he says she retorted, “You are not my father, so don’t ask me where I was.”
Addressing the recent viral video that showed a distressed Regina, Nwoko categorically denied any violence occurred. He labeled the incident a staged event, claiming it was “a pure Nollywood scenario” filmed in front of his property in his absence. He alleged that Regina’s family took her away after the video was shot and removed items from his home, including a phone and money.
He concluded with a plea for Sammy to get help, stating his behavior has become “increasingly violent and unstable,” and that he needs “total rehabilitation and professional guidance.” The post offers a stark, private look into a very public feud, framing it not as a simple marital dispute, but as a desperate attempt by a husband to save his wife from a destructive cycle enabled by those closest to her.
