A long-simmering online feud between two of Nigeria’s most prominent social media personalities turned physical this week, as Martins Otse (aka VeryDarkMan) and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi (aka Mr Jollof) engaged in a mid-air altercation aboard a United Nigerian Airlines flight.
The incident occurred on a routine journey from Asaba in Delta State to Lagos, transforming the aircraft cabin into an unexpected battleground for the two influencers, whose rivalry had been brewing for months on social media platforms.
The conflict reached its boiling point after VeryDarkMan previously targeted Mr Jollof’s wife in his online critiques, making serious personal allegations. This personal attack appears to have been the primary catalyst for the airborne confrontation.
In a video posted to his account, VeryDarkMan described the fight, stating, “Me and jollof was having a brotherly discussion then some people came to interrupt,jollof want svk my nimpuuuuu,”
