Super TV boss murder: Chidinma Ojukwu pleads not guilty in court

21-year-old UNILAG student, Chidinma Ojukwu who is the prime suspect in the murder of Super TV CEO, Usifo Ataga has pleaded not guilty to the crime.

Usifo’s death has attracted nationwide attention after his body was found in a serviced apartment in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

He was allegedly murdered by Chidinma Ojukwu, a 300-Level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, with whom the CEO was said to have been in a romantic relationship.

Chidinma who was arrested days after the murder confessed to journalists that she stabbed Usifo on the neck at the apartment his body was discovered.

She has now pleaded not guilty in court, after being arraigned alongside another key suspect in the case, Adedapo Quadri appeared before Justice Yetunde Adesanya of the Lagos state high court sitting in Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island on Tuesday, October 12th and pleaded not guilty to the nine count charges against them bordering on the offences of murder, forgery and stealing.

They are currently being arraigned alongside Chidinma’s sister, Egbuchu Chioma from whom the late Ataga’s iPhone 7, was said to have been recovered.
