The reality star says online rumors accusing him of beating his pregnant wife, Bambam, shaped a false public image for years.
Reality TV star and singer Teddy A has broken his silence on one of the most painful chapters of his public life: a damaging false accusation that he physically abused his wife, actress Bambam. In an emotional interview on the WithChude podcast, he detailed how the baseless rumor took root and, despite his silence, stubbornly reshaped his public image.

The singer, whose real name is Tope Adenibuyan, vividly recalled the ordinary afternoon the story surfaced. His pregnant wife was at home, relaxed and watching a movie, when his phone began buzzing with inexplicable notifications. “I didn’t drop any content that’s trending,” he remembered thinking. “What’s going on?”
Curiosity turned to shock as he scrolled through social media comments and discovered people discussing a report alleging he had beaten Bambam, even during her pregnancy. “My wife became very emotional and kept asking who did this,” he shared. “I honestly didn’t know.”
Following the advice of his manager at the time, Teddy A chose not to publicly address the claims, hoping the story would simply fade away. He has since come to regret that decision. “I didn’t really see the damage staying silent would do to my reputation,” he admitted.
The false narrative proved persistent. He revealed that comments questioning his character and repeating the abuse claim continue to appear under innocent family photos and personal posts years later, despite Bambam’s own efforts to dismiss the rumors.
“Even when my wife and I post ourselves, people still comment and ask if I’m sure I don’t beat my wife,” he said, his frustration evident. “Why on earth would they do that? It affected me because it made people see me in a way that wasn’t true.”
The interview offered a raw look at the personal toll of online misinformation, highlighting how a single unfounded story can linger indefinitely, altering public perception and causing deep, private hurt.
