Media Personality Suspects Exploitation, Urges Intervention for Music Legend’s “Vulnerable State”
Nigerian media personality Do2dtun has sounded the alarm about 2Baba’s wellbeing following the music icon’s emotional apology video, suggesting the African Queen star is being “manipulated” into uncharacteristic public displays.
An Unnatural Retreat?
In a series of impassioned posts on X (formerly Twitter), the OAP expressed discomfort with 2Baba’s recent retraction of his controversial comments about male infidelity, noting this marked a stark departure from the typically reserved superstar’s usual approach to scandals.

“Please, I don’t like this 2face I’m seeing. Something is not right at all,” Do2dtun wrote. “He never addresses anything like this, even in his worst scandals. Someone is forcing him to be who he is not.”
Calls for Professional Help
The concerned commentator speculated about potential trauma or psychological distress affecting the 48-year-old legend, going as far as suggesting therapeutic intervention:
“At this point, I’ll say this out loud. I think 2Face needs help. Therapy or genuine evaluation. Something is not right at all.”
Do2dtun painted a picture of an exploited vulnerability, questioning the motives behind the camera: “Whoever is holding that camera is wicked… Someone is taking advantage of his situation.” He drew poignant parallels to late friend Sound Sultan’s role as a stabilizing force in artists’ lives.
A Plea for Nuanced Understanding
While acknowledging 2Baba’s accountability in personal matters, the media personality urged the public to look beyond surface judgments:
“We allow things to happen to people because we blame them all the time… Everyone can make their choices, but not everyone deserves to live with them.”
The intervention has sparked mixed reactions online, with some dismissing it as unnecessary meddling while others commend the rare show of celebrity concern. As the conversation grows, all eyes remain on 2Baba – not for his music this time, but for the unsettling vulnerability that has his peers speaking up in his defense.
