There was jubilation at the Abuja residence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC as INEC declared him winner of the February 25th presidential election early Wednesday morning.
According to INEC, Tinubu, garnered 8,794,726 to defeat his major rivals; Atiku Abubakar of the People Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 6,984,520 votes, and Peter Obi of Labour Party who secured 6,101,533 votes.
The declaration of Tinubu as President was witnessed by top members of his party, including his running mate, Kashim Shettima, APC Governors, his friends and associates.
