Transfer gossip: Man Utd in for Inter star, Salah swayed from new Liverpool deal

Barca reckon they can stop Liverpool signing Raphinha before taking Mo Salah for free in a year, while Man Utd fancy Inter’s right-back…

Mo Salah has vowed to stay at Liverpool next season and the Premier League’s joint-top scorer was all set to commit to the Reds for the next few years. But not any longer…

The Mirror reckons Salah has ‘performed a drastic U-turn’ after initially telling friends that he was prepared to sign a new contract at Anfield. His current terms expire at the end of next season when Liverpool face losing a major asset for nothing.

It seems Barcelona have swayed Salah’s thinking. Apparently, they have promised him a move to the Nou Camp next summer as a free agent, so the 29-year-old will ignore whatever Liverpool offer in the meantime.

Barca appear intent on spoiling Liverpool’s summer with the Catalans set to beat the Reds to one of their major targets.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be keen to sign Raphinha from Leeds to serve as Sadio Mane’s replacement once the Senegal striker joins Bayern Munich. Assuming Bayern present an acceptable offer, Mane is already reported by the Daily Mail to have asked Thiago Alcanatara if he can move into his place in Bavaria.

Raphinha, though, has his heart set on Barca and Sport reckons the Brazilian will ignore Liverpool’s advances to push for a move to the Nou Camp.

Just one problem: Barca are still struggling to meet Leeds’ demands and any deal hinges on the Yorkshiremen compromising on the cost. So all hope is not yet lost for Liverpool.

Manchester United are apparently looking towards Italy in their hunt for a right-back…

According to Calciomercato, the Red Devils are eyeing up Denzel Dumfries, who could be made available by Inter Milan. Dumfries only moved to the San Siro a year ago and he remains under contract until 2025, but Inter are open to offers, despite having already lost Ivan Perisic to Tottenham.

United and Bayern are both credited with an interest in Dumfries, despite the German giants having already signed a right-back in the form of Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax. No fee is mentioned but Inter would expect to make a hefty profit on the £12million they gave PSV for Dumfries last year.

United’s challenge right now might be to avoid the temptation of signing Gareth Bale. But Cardiff are reported to be ready to go all in for the former Real Madrid attacker as well as another Wales star.

90min says the Bluebirds are readying contract offers for Bale and Aaron Ramsey. The former is a free-agent; Ramsay, though, has a year remaining on his terms at Juventus.

Cardiff, however, could still sign Ramsay for free, with Juve said to be willing to cut the midfielder loose even if it only saves a portion of his massive salary. Ramsay started his career at Cardiff, while Bale was born in the city and needs a new club to stay in shape before the World Cup. Or does he?
