Red Devils Beat Chelsea and European Giants to Secure Prolific Striker Ahead of Summer Window
Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen for €60 million, according to Turkish journalist Aygun Ozipek. The Nigerian international, one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe, is said to have accepted a lucrative €15 million-per-year contract with the Premier League giants.
The move would mark a major early triumph for United in the transfer market, securing their top target before the summer window officially opens. Osimhen had been heavily linked with Chelsea, with many expecting him to choose Stamford Bridge, but recent reports from Turkey suggest Erik ten Hag’s side have surged ahead in the race.
Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Barcelona were also in the mix for the 26-year-old, but United appear to have won the battle. Osimhen, currently on a dry loan at Galatasaray, has been in sensational form this season, netting 29 goals in 34 games across all competitions.
Despite Napoli initially demanding his €75 million release clause, the two clubs have reportedly negotiated a lower fee. Osimhen’s relationship with Napoli soured last year, making his departure inevitable. Now, it seems Old Trafford will be his next destination—a major statement of intent from a United side desperate for a clinical finisher.
If confirmed, this deal could transform United’s attack, giving them the elite striker they’ve lacked since Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit. Fans will be eagerly awaiting official confirmation, but for now, optimism is growing that Osimhen will be leading the line at the Theatre of Dreams next season.
