President Florentino Perez Reportedly Seeks “Saviors,” With Chelsea’s Enzo Fernández and Teen Star Christian Kofane Also on Radar
Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez is reportedly embarking on a dramatic mission to rescue the club from what sources describe as its “rock bottom” state, targeting two of football’s biggest names: Manchester City’s goal machine Erling Haaland and former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp.
According to reports from Sky Sports Deutschland, Pérez is “looking for saviors” and has turned his attention to the star striker and the revered tactician.
The pursuit of Haaland, however, presents a monumental financial challenge. Any deal for the 25-year-old Norwegian is estimated to require over €500 million, and would likely necessitate the painful sale of a major asset like Brazilian forward Vinícius Júnior to fund the move.
The search for a new leader extends beyond the touchline. While Klopp is identified as a key managerial target, the club’s midfield ambitions are also high, with Chelsea’s Enzo Fernández on a shortlist that includes competition from Paris Saint-Germain.
In a sign of planning for the future, Real Madrid are also said to be closely monitoring one of Europe’s most exciting young talents: 19-year-old Bayer Leverkusen forward Christian Kofane.
This blend of immediate superstar targets and long-term prospects underscores the scale of the rebuild Pérez is believed to be plotting, as he aims to restore the club to its perceived glory.
