Callum Chambers opened the scoring for Arsenal during their 4-1 friendly win over Millwall after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had hit the crossbar with a sensational overhead kick.
After failing to beat either Hibernian or Rangers during their tour of Scotland, Arsenal were grateful to pick up their first win of pre-season against their Championship opponents.
And the Arsenal captain produced something spectacular to kickstart Arsenal’s performance. Nicolas Pepe floated over a cross which Aubameyang met with an almost-perfect bicycle kick.
His attempt rebounded back off the crossbar and into the path of Chambers, who bundled home the opener for the Gunners.
Aubameyang had a disappointing 2020-21 season by his standards, recording only 10 Premier League goals as Arsenal failed to qualify for any European competition.
But the Gabon international may just be approaching his best again.
