Wizkid’s Associate Publicly Accuses Davido of Threats, Pleads for Safety

In a viral social media post, Tufab shares alleged DMs from the superstar, urging the public to hold him responsible “if anything happens.”

A close associate of Afrobeats star Wizkid has ignited a firestorm on social media after publicly accusing fellow superstar Davido of sending him threatening messages. The associate, known as Tufab, took to the platform X on Wednesday to share screenshots of the alleged direct messages, pleading with the public to be his witness.

The online clash reportedly began over a perceived insult. In the leaked messages, Davido allegedly confronts Tufab for calling him “Osakpolo” – a Yoruba term he took offense to. The message took a darker turn with what many are interpreting as a threat, with Davido allegedly referencing cult affiliations, calling himself “Aye” and Tufab a “Bird,” before challenging him to “play the game.”

“My name is not osakpolo I’m warning u… I Dey warn u. Wetin wan happen. U be bird I be aye, Make we play d game,” the alleged message read.

Fearing for his safety, Tufab responded directly in his public post, firmly denying both the insult and any cult affiliations. He expressed frustration that this was not the first time he felt threatened.

“But I didn’t even call u that. And please stop warning me bro… I’ve never said anything hurtful to u,” Tufab wrote. “My life is under threat and if anything happens to me, y’all know who to hold responsible. The only reason I’m doing this is to protect myself.”

The post has since gone viral, sparking intense controversy and debate among fans on X. The situation has drawn widespread condemnation from many users who are criticizing Davido’s alleged actions, turning a personal dispute into a very public spectacle that has the music community on edge.
