Barcelona Star Lamine Yamal Spotted Limping After Spain’s Nations League Victory Over Denmark

Concerns grow over Yamal’s fitness ahead of crucial Barcelona fixtures.

Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal was seen limping after Spain’s narrow 1-0 victory against Denmark in the Nations League on Saturday. Yamal played the full 90 minutes but endured heavy challenges throughout the match, appearing in visible discomfort after the final whistle.

As the Spanish team exited the stadium, Yamal’s limp raised concerns, especially for Barcelona, who face a challenging schedule with upcoming matches against Sevilla, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid.

The Catalan club will be anxiously awaiting updates on the young star’s condition.

Spain coach Luis de la Fuente addressed the rough treatment Yamal received from Denmark’s defenders, suggesting the forward should brace himself for such physical play. “They should kick him… What do you want them to give you, kisses?” de la Fuente quipped. “The opponent uses their weapons within the limits of the rules. The referee is there to set that limit.”

De la Fuente emphasized that while referees should protect talented players, Yamal will need to adapt to the physical nature of professional football. “Against young players of this talent, it’s about intimidating, looking for contact. It’s a bit like the law of football. Lamine must get used to that,” he added.

With Spain set to face Serbia on Tuesday in their next Nations League match, it remains uncertain whether Yamal will be fit to participate.
