Big Brother Naija star Neo (Emuobonuvie Akpofure) is reflecting on the unexpected encounter that reshaped his future—a meeting with music icon Don Jazzy 10 years ago, born from a ₦60 trivia contest.
Neo recently shared the impactful story on Instagram, recalling how he won MTV Base’s “A Day with Don Jazzy” competition. Though he missed the grand prize—a trip to South Africa—due to university exams, he was flown to Lagos to meet Don Jazzy and gifted ₦500,000.
For Neo, that moment was far more valuable than the cash. It restored his faith in his own potential.
“That single encounter changed my life. It made me believe I could truly be whoever I wanted to be,” he wrote.
Don Jazzy responded warmly to the post, praising Neo’s character and bright future: “You are destined for greatness… I’m proud to have a line or two in your book.”
