Cardi B’s Infamous Thrown Mic Goes Up for Auction on eBay With Bids of Over $90k

The microphone that Cardi B famously hurled at a fan during an altercation at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas is now at the center of a bidding war on eBay. The incident occurred while the Bronx-born musician was performing on stage and got splashed with a drink and ice by a spectator in the audience.

The microphone, originally valued at $1,000, belonged to a Vegas-based business that supplies audio equipment to nearby clubs. Scott Fisher, the owner of the device, confirmed its authenticity, noting the distinctive white “MAIN” tape at its base, making it easy to identify. Surprisingly, the microphone remained functional after being thrown, and it can still be used by the auction winner for their own purposes.

The eBay listing for the microphone reads, “This is the mic that has been seen flying into the crowd across the nation after Cardi was splashed with some liquid.” It also comes with a letter confirming its genuineness, which has been seen in various videos circulating on social media.

In a surprising twist, Fisher decided to use the auction as an opportunity to do something good. He pledged that 100% of the proceeds from the sale would be split evenly between two charities. The first beneficiary is a local Las Vegas charity called Friendship Circle Las Vegas.

The auction’s interest quickly surged, and the highest bid currently stands at an astonishing $85,000 from 61 participants. Initially starting at $500, the value of the microphone skyrocketed as news of its auction spread.

Meanwhile, the alleged victim of the microphone’s impact has pursued legal action against Cardi B, resulting in a pending battery case. Despite the legal issues, Cardi and her husband Offset released their newest song, “JEALOUSY,” on Friday, July 28. The song features a sample of Three 6 Mafia’s “Jealous A** B**ch” and is seen as a rebuttal to their critics.
