Chelsea to sign two Serie A forwards for £31m plus Romelu Lukaku as Harry Kane bid rises?

Chelsea might get Paulo Dybala and Dusan Vlahovic (and get rid of Romelu Lukaku) for a lot less than they paid for Marc Cucurella.

POCHETTINO WANTS DYBALA
With Mason Mount gone to Manchester United and Joao Felix returned unwanted to Atletico Madrid, the man at the top of Mauricio Pochettino’s ‘wish list’ is 29-year-old Argentine World Cup winner Paulo Dybala. And no wonder at just £10.26m.

That’s the price on Dybala’s head for foreign clubs, with Roma powerless to stop him leaving unless they give him a new contract and eliminate that clause. That may well be the Argentine’s game, with Calciomercato saying his agent is now in talks with the Italian club. PSG are also said to be in the background but waaaaaay in the background.

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has already been quizzed and claims it would be a “huge signing”. We will believe it when we see it.

VLAHOVIC AND LUKAKU SWAP
Now this could kill two birds with one stone for Chelsea, with Juventus – according to Corriere dello Sport – willing to sell Dusan Vlahovic to the west London club in exchange for Romelu Lukaku and £21m. So Chelsea get Lukaku off their books and bring in the Serb for a small fee. Coincidentally, the both scored the same number of Serie A goals (10) last season.

They claim that Lukaku has told Juventus he will move, which would be a shift in his attitude, but with Inter Milan struggling to come up with the money required to sign the Belgian, he might think that any Italian exit from Chelsea is better than none.

VILLA JOIN DIABY RACE
Bayer Leverkusen have a wanted man on their hands in Moussa Diaby and the Daily Mail claim the latest club showing an interest are Aston Villa, though the £50m price tag might make him too rich for their blood. France international Diaby has scored 49 goals and set up 48 in 172 games for Leverkusen since joining them from PSG four years ago so he definitely will not come cheap.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United have all been linked with Diaby, who would offer the Gunners an alternative to the overworked Bukayo Saka.
