The singer, known for his generous contributions to various causes, recently took to his social media page to announce his intention to donate the substantial sum to orphanages as part of his yearly contribution to the nation. In a post shared with his followers, Davido stated, “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow.”
However, within hours of his announcement, a Nigerian individual responded with a critical remark, likening Davido’s pledge to a scene from a movie and casting doubt on his sincerity.
