“Do Not Play D’banj’s Songs Here”: Do2tun’s Stern Warning to DJ at His 40th Birthday Party

Popular Nigerian on-air personality and video jockey, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, also known as Do2tun, recently made headlines as he issued a firm warning to a DJ at his extravagant 40th birthday celebration. The warning came after tracks by his estranged brother-in-law, iconic musician D’banj, were played during the event.

The vibrant personality had earlier taken to his Instagram page to express gratitude for reaching the milestone age, thanking God and his fans for their unwavering support. Accompanying his heartfelt message were a series of timeless photos capturing the essence of the celebration.

However, the birthday bash took an unexpected turn when a DJ played songs by D’banj, Do2tun’s brother-in-law. In a viral video from the event, Do2tun can be seen making a bold statement, demanding that D’banj’s songs be removed from the playlist.

“I repeat; No D’banj’s songs at my party,” he firmly stated during the celebration.

This dramatic showdown unfolded against the backdrop of a bitter child custody battle between Do2tun and his wife, Taiwo Oyebanjo, who happens to be D’banj’s sister.

Accusations flew as Do2tun pointed fingers at D’banj, alleging that the music maestro was siding with his sister and actively encouraging her to keep their children away from him.

In response, Taiwo, Do2tun’s estranged wife, spoke out, detailing the abuse she allegedly endured during their eight-year marriage. She described experiencing sexual, emotional, and psychological abuse, stating that she could never recover from the trauma and pain caused by Do2tun.

The publicized conflict has drawn significant attention, shedding light on personal struggles within the entertainment industry and raising discussions about family dynamics and disputes.
