Elon Musk Backs Trump, Jokes About Being Arrested if Kamala Harris Becomes President

The Tesla CEO Expresses Concerns Over a Harris Presidency in a Humorous Interview with Tucker Carlson

Tech billionaire Elon Musk joked about facing prison time if Democratic nominee Kamala Harris becomes president in a recent interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson. Musk, who has publicly endorsed Donald Trump for the upcoming U.S. presidential election, said he is “all in” on Trump winning in November.

The interview, published on Musk’s X platform (formerly Twitter), opened with Carlson speculating on the outcome of a Harris victory. “If he [Trump] loses… you’re fked, dude!” Carlson said, sparking laughter between the two. Musk responded in agreement, adding, “If he loses, I’m fked. How long do you think my prison sentence is going to be? Will I see my children? I don’t know.”

Musk officially endorsed Trump in July, after an assassination attempt targeting the former president at a rally in Pennsylvania. During the interview, Musk took aim at Harris, referring to her as the “Kamala puppet” and criticized the political machine he believes she represents. He also clarified a controversial X post he deleted, in which he compared the assassination threats against Trump to the absence of such threats against Harris. Some, he said, misunderstood his post as a call for violence, which he firmly denied.

Musk, who identifies as politically moderate, has recently shifted his support towards Trump, citing what he views as the growing extremism of the political left in the U.S. He revealed that he and Trump have discussed the possibility of Musk leading a “government efficiency commission” in a future Trump administration, referencing his decision to cut 80% of X’s staff while improving the platform’s performance.

The interview follows Musk’s recent appearance at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where the former president survived an assassination attempt. Musk praised Trump’s resilience and calm demeanor in the face of danger, further solidifying his support for the Republican candidate.
