Norwegian Striker Reaches 100 Goals in 105 Games, Matching Ronaldo’s Record

Erling Haaland equalled a record set by Cristiano Ronaldo after scoring against Arsenal in Manchester City’s thrilling 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Norwegian striker netted his 100th goal for a top-five European club in just 105 appearances, matching the record set by the five-time Ballon d’Or winner during his time at Real Madrid.

City took an early lead when Haaland expertly finished a pass from Savinho just 10 minutes into the match.

His achievement was highlighted by Squawka, who noted: “Fewest games needed to reach 100 goals for a top five European side in the 21st century: 105 – Erling Haaland (Man City) – 105 – Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid). CR7’s record has been equalled.”

Reacting to the milestone, former Manchester United defender Gary Neville described Haaland’s goal as “complete and utter devastation in footballing terms.” He praised the forward’s movement and finish, adding, “The poke past Raya is dismissive.”

Despite City’s early dominance, Arsenal fought back with Riccardo Calafiori’s stunning strike to level the score. The game remained intense, with key City midfielder Rodri forced off due to a knee injury. Arsenal managed to take the lead before John Stones’ late equaliser ensured a share of the points, keeping City at the top of the Premier League table.
