Terseer Waya, widely known as Kiddwaya and an evicted housemate from the BBNaija All Stars reality show, has recently shared insights into the situation between him and his girlfriend, shedding light on why she unfollowed him on social media.
Kiddwaya’s girlfriend, Laura, had taken the step of unfollowing him due to his kissing incident with fellow housemate Mercy Eke while they were in the BBNaija house.
Following his eviction from the reality show on Sunday, where he was eliminated alongside Tolani Baj due to receiving the fewest votes that week, Kiddwaya took the opportunity during a media appearance on the Beats 99.9 FM Lagos to address the concerns. He clarified that the kiss he shared with Mercy was part of the dynamics of the game, emphasizing that it was not a reflection of his real-life relationship. The evicted housemate also expressed his conviction that Laura would eventually come to understand this perspective and would re-follow him on social media.
Confidently speaking about his relationship, Kiddwaya stated, “My relationship is going well. We are solid, man. In any normal relationship, there are issues here and there but I’m Kiddwaya, man, what can go wrong?”
Addressing Laura’s decision to unfollow him on Instagram, he attributed it to her unfamiliarity with the dynamics of the game and the unique challenges presented by platforms like Big Brother. He acknowledged the complexities of the environment and expressed his belief that over time, Laura would grasp the nuances of the situation. He confidently asserted that she would eventually re-follow him on social media.
Kiddwaya’s assurance mirrored the understanding that conflicts and misunderstandings are common in relationships, even more so in unconventional circumstances like being part of a reality show.
“Don’t worry [about her unfollowing me on Instagram], she’s going to follow me back. I think it’s because she is not used to the game. Big Brother is crazy. It’s a crazy world, crazy platform, crazy game. And you need to understand the things you need to do to get ahead. So, she didn’t understand some certain things but with time, she will. She will come around”
