Barcelona Surge to 3-0 Lead Inside 30 Minutes as Lewandowski Shines
Barcelona has come out firing in their Matchday 9 fixture against Alaves, racing to a 3-0 lead within the opening half hour. The Catalan giants took control early, with Robert Lewandowski netting a hat-trick in just 25 minutes.
Lewandowski opened the scoring after just seven minutes and doubled his tally 15 minutes later.
He completed his hat-trick in the 25th minute, slotting the ball under Alaves goalkeeper Antonio Sivera after being set up by substitute Eric Garcia.
The 36-year-old Polish striker has now scored 12 goals this season, 10 of which have come in La Liga. Barcelona’s performance at Mendizorrotza, traditionally a challenging venue, has been commanding, and they look set to restore their three-point lead over Real Madrid at the top of the table.
With the game seemingly in hand, Barcelona is cruising toward another crucial victory in their title defense.
