It marks the most prolific campaign of Rashford’s career thus far.
Operating on the left wing or as a central striker, Rashford has thrived alongside the contributions of teammates Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen, who have provided him with ample opportunities. A formidable partnership has also developed between Rashford and left-back Luke Shaw, solidifying the left flank.
While Rashford’s performances have been exceptional, his future at Manchester United has been the subject of uncertainty. The Sun has now confirmed Rashford’s desire to stay at his boyhood club, quoting a source who states, “Marcus is staying at United. He was waiting to see if the club got into the Champions League, and now they have, he is delighted. He loves playing for Ten Hag and believes he has delivered on all of his promises.”
While Manchester United aimed to secure either the Europa League or FA Cup to accompany their earlier Carabao Cup triumph, they suffered a quarter-final defeat to Sevilla in the Europa League and a final loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup. As a result, the Red Devils have only clinched one piece of silverware this season.
Rashford will be eager to build upon his excellent form in the upcoming 2023/24 season and assist Manchester United in their quest to challenge rivals Manchester City for the Premier League title. However, it is clear that United cannot solely rely on Rashford for goalscoring.
