Super Eagles Star Set for Summer Exit as Premier League Giants Circle
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has made it clear that Victor Osimhen will be sold to the highest bidder this summer, putting an end to the Nigerian striker’s rollercoaster stint with the Italian club.
Osimhen, who narrowly missed a Deadline Day move to Chelsea last year, ended up joining Galatasaray on loan after negotiations collapsed. Despite his strong performances this season, Napoli is ready to cash in, demanding his €75 million release clause be met.
According to Sky Sport, Manchester United could be among the frontrunners, with new manager Ruben Amorim keen to bolster his attack amid underwhelming spells from Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee. However, Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly backed out, with Luis Enrique unconvinced the 26-year-old fits their system.
Osimhen’s international teammate William Troost-Ekong has fueled speculation of a Premier League switch, telling talkSPORT: “I know he’s a Chelsea fan, but he’s had talks with all the top teams. Liverpool have also been linked. Wherever he goes, he’ll shine.”
With Napoli eager to sell and England likely his next destination, Osimhen’s summer move promises to be one of the most talked-about transfers of the window.
